Overview

A Letter from the Founder

Hello Warlanders,

Zeus here.

Many years ago, before Warland became what it is today, I made a promise to myself. That promise was not born from business, marketing or numbers. It was born from disappointment, from love for Lineage 2 and from the feeling that many old school players know very well.

Because before I became an administrator, before Warland Legacy, before the x3, x12, x20 worlds, before the boosted seasons, the websites, the systems, the guards, the updates and the endless nights of work, I was simply a Lineage2 player.

An old school Lineage 2 player.

One of those players who remembers when killing a monster in Cemetery actually felt like progress. One of those players who remembers Talking Island not as a starting zone, but as a memory. The music, the first Gremlin, the first level, the first weapon, the first clan, the first real fight.

Lineage 2 was never just another game. It was a world. A world where you did not simply press buttons. You built a character. You earned your name. You found people. You created clans that, after some time, stopped feeling like groups of players and started feeling like family. Friends, enemies, brothers, rivalries, alliances, betrayals, sieges, heroes and memories.

That was the real magic of Lineage 2. And that is exactly the magic I wanted Warland to protect.

The Origin

Why Warland Was Created

After many years away from Lineage 2, life brought me back to the game. Like many of you, I installed the client again after a long break. Family, work, responsibilities and real life had taken me away, but Lineage 2 is not something you truly forget. You may leave it for years, but a part of you always wants to return.

So I returned. I searched for a good Lineage2 Interlude server. I wanted to feel that old flame again. I wanted to create my fighter, start from zero and enjoy the road. And for a while, I believed I had found the place.

Then the server wiped.

All the time, all the effort, all the progress disappeared in a moment. At first, I thought it was bad luck. Maybe I joined too late. Maybe the server was already near the end of its cycle. So I tried again. Another server. Another fresh start. Another character. Another Gremlin. Another beginning. And then, again, wipe.

That was the moment I understood the ugly truth that had damaged the private Lineage 2 scene for years. Too many servers were not created to become homes for players. They were created to open, collect money, wipe, reopen and repeat the same story again.

Lineage 2 had been turned into a short-term product. The soul of the game was being sacrificed for quick profit.

And that made me angry. Not because I lost some items. Not because I lost a few weeks of farming. But because the game we loved deserved better. The players deserved better.

That anger became a promise. I promised myself that if I ever created a Lineage2 server, it would not be another disposable project. It would not be another two-month server. It would not be another cash-grab that destroys the work of its players.

It would be different. That promise became Warland.

Birth & Philosophy

The Birth of Warland

Warland started as a dream, but it was built with real work. In my real life, I work in technology. I am a software engineer and CEO in technology companies in Europe. Programming, infrastructure, systems and long-term planning are not just hobbies for me. They are part of my daily life. So when Warland was created, I did not want to build it like a temporary game server. I wanted to build it like a real project. A long-term Lineage2 Interlude server project with structure, stability, rules, protection, development and identity.

Warland Must Live

Not for a weekend. Not for one month. Not for one season. Warland had to be a long-term home for Lineage 2 players. A project with permanence, continuity and a future.

Warland Must Stay Clean

No corruption. No selling power. No secret deals. No private favors. No pay-to-win shortcuts that destroy the meaning of effort. Because once a server loses trust, everything else becomes useless.

From Warland to Warland Legacy

Today, after all these years, Warland has evolved. Since 2016, Warland has grown from one dream into the Warland Legacy project. Warland Legacy is not just one server. It is an ecosystem of Lineage2 Interlude worlds, created for different types of players but connected by the same core philosophy. We have long-term main worlds for players who want stability, history and real progression. We have boosted worlds for players who want a fresh start, faster action and competitive seasons. We have different rates and identities, including x3 Old School, x12 Origin, x20 Craft PvP and boosted seasonal worlds that keep the community alive, active and moving forward.

But the heart remains the same. Warland Legacy exists because Lineage 2 deserves time. A character needs time. A clan needs time. A rivalry needs time. A server needs time to become more than files, mobs, NPCs and zones. It needs memories.

That is what most short-term servers never understood. Players do not remember a server because it opened with loud promises. They remember it because they lived something there. That is Lineage 2. That is Warland Legacy.

Community Values

A Server Built by Its Community

Warland was never only mine. Yes, I created it. Yes, I worked on it. Yes, I made decisions, sometimes good, sometimes wrong, always with the intention to protect the server and keep it fair. But Warland became what it is because of the players. The clans. The solo players. The people who stayed. The people who returned. The people who argued, fought, complained, supported, tested, reported bugs, invited friends and kept the flame alive.

Even the players who disagreed with me helped shape Warland. A real community is not built only by people who say yes. It is built by pressure, feedback, mistakes, loyalty, conflict and time. I have loved this community in my own way. Even when things were difficult. Even when I had to make unpopular decisions. Even when I had to stand alone and protect the project from choices that would have been easier in the short term but harmful in the long term. Because Warland was never meant to be easy. It was meant to be real.

The Future

Why We Continue

Some people ask why we still continue after so many years. The answer is simple. Because the dream is not finished. Warland Legacy is not just a memory from the past. It is still alive. It continues to grow, change and adapt. The Lineage 2 community is smaller than it once was, that is the truth. We do not need to lie about it. The golden years of MMORPGs are behind us. But the players who remain are the ones who truly love the game. And these players deserve a serious Lineage2 Interlude server. They deserve a project with history. They deserve a world that does not disappear every time the first wave of hype ends. They deserve an administrator who still cares. That is why Warland Legacy continues. Not because it is easy. Because it matters.

To New Players

If you are new to Warland Legacy, I want you to understand something before you join. This is not just another Lineage2 Interlude server. This is a project built with years of history, mistakes, improvements, battles, wipes, restarts, lessons and evolution. You are not entering a random server made yesterday. You are entering a world that has carried the memories of thousands of players. You are entering a community that has lived through seasons, wars, rivalries, openings, merges and new beginnings.

Come with your clan. Come alone. Come as an old player returning after years. Come as someone who misses the sound of Talking Island. Come as someone who wants a fresh boosted start. Come as someone who wants a long-term main world. But come knowing this: here, we still believe Lineage 2 has a soul.

To Old Warlanders

To the old Warlanders, I want to say something simple. Thank you. Thank you for being part of this road. Thank you for the trust, the criticism, the fights, the reports, the support, the pressure and the memories. You helped build this world. You gave Warland its name, its weight and its history. Every clan that passed from here left something behind. Every player who stayed, even for a short time, became part of the story. Warland Legacy exists today because all of you gave life to the original dream. And now, the dream continues.

The Next Chapter

Warland Legacy is our next chapter. A long-term Lineage2 Interlude project built around stability, fair play, old school feeling and modern accessibility. Main worlds. Boosted worlds. Seasonal starts. Future merges. A living structure that allows players to enjoy fresh competition without destroying the value of long-term progress. This is the balance we are trying to create. Fresh starts without meaningless wipes. Boosted action without killing the main world. Modern convenience without removing the soul of Interlude. Competition without corruption. Progress with meaning. This is not easy. It never was. But if there is one thing Warland has proven through all these years, it is this: we do not quit easily.

Closing

Final Words

Warland started from disappointment. It continued through work. It survived through community. And today, it moves forward as Warland Legacy. For everyone who still remembers what Lineage 2 felt like. For everyone who still believes that a server can be more than a temporary opening. For everyone who still wants to build a character, join a clan, fight for a castle, farm for a dream and become part of a story. This is Warland Legacy. A Lineage2 Interlude server project built for players who still care.

Welcome to the next chapter.
